What Is Invisalign®?

The Invisalign® Process

If you live in The Woodlands area and are interested in Invisalign®, your first step is to contact the Texas Center for Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry to schedule a consultation.  If he determines that you are a suitable candidate for Invisalign® treatment, you will return for a second visit to be fitted for your first set of aligners.  During this visit, we will make molds of your teeth and mouth, which he will send to the Invisalign® laboratory.  There, Invisalign® technicians will use state-of-the-art computer technology to map out your entire treatment, planning each set of aligners to move the teeth a step closer to their final, correct position.  The lab will ship your first set of aligners to our office, and each successive set directly to your residence.  Simply change out the trays as they arrive and wear them at all times, except when you remove them to eat, drink, brush, and floss.  When worn as directed, Invisalign® can straighten the teeth in as little as 6 to 18 months.  After completing Invisalign® treatment, many patients choose to polish their new smiles with teeth whitening or another cosmetic dentistry treatment.
