When a patient is missing one to several teeth in a row, we often recommend a dental bridge, or partial denture. Dental bridges anchor an artificial tooth or teeth between two natural teeth for a lasting, beautiful smile. We can also provide implant-supported (partial) dentures for a tooth loss solution that doesn’t anchor to your natural teeth.
In The Woodlands, Texas, we not only commit to providing the best cosmetic result, but our dental bridges and partial dentures are aesthetically pleasing as well as functional.
Placement of Dental Bridges
The placement of a dental bridge requires two visits to our dental office near Houston. In the first visit, we shave down your tooth or teeth beside the gap to accommodate the crowns (this step may not be necessary for implant-supported dental bridges). Then, we make a mold of your teeth and mouth, which are sent to the laboratory to create a suitable restoration. You will wear this temporary restoration until the permanent version is ready.
In the second visit, we remove the temporary dental bridge, place the crowns on the natural teeth, bond the dental bridge onto the natural teeth, and, if needed, make adjustments for optimal comfort. Once this is done you can leave our office with an attractive, functional smile.
Cost of Dental Bridges
The cost of a dental bridge varies depending on the type of bridge you choose to restore your smile. In some cases, your insurance may cover a portion of the procedure, but this can also vary depending on the coverage of your dental plan.
